Regional Ayurveda Research Institute, Gangtok

The Regional Ayurveda Research Institute (RARI) was established at Gangtok, Sikkim on the 9th July 1979 under the autonomous apex body 'Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences', Ministry of Ayush, Govt. of India for organizing research activities on a scientific basis in Ayurvedic sciences and to provide health care services in the state of Sikkim. The Institute proudly houses an entry level NABH-accredited Ayurveda Hospital, ensuring high standards of patient care and safety, along with a registered herbarium at New York Botanical Garden, recognized by the acronym RARI, serving as a valuable resource for botanical research and conservation.

CCRAS

The Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS) is an autonomous body of the Ministry of AYUSH (Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy), Government of India. It is an apex body in India for the formulation, coordination, development and promotion of research on scientific lines in Ayurveda and Sowa-Rigpa system of medicine.
